However far removed you may feel from history, the truth is likely that you are literally sitting on a significant piece of the past. How old is your home? Who has lived there before, and what significance could they and your house have held within history? What mysteries can we uncover that are, quite literally, right under your very nose?​

Record Retrieval

One of the most common roadblocks a professional or amateur genealogist can encounter is that of needing to consult a source that is too far away or too inconvenient to be obtained in the midst of the researcher's already busy schedule. Give us a call, and depending on your needs we will retrieve the record(s) on your behalf, or advise you on alternative ways of accessing the record, or of other sources that would better speak to the information you need.

Record and Evidence Analysis

Finding information is the fun part of genealogical research; the 'ah ha' moment of finding the perfect record that answers one of your most persistent questions is invigorating! But organizing all of this information can easily become a burden, especially when you put off the 'housekeeping' tasks of organization, transcription, or creating citations to the point that you find yourself with a pile of records that all need to be processed. We'll help you sort through the mess of records by assisting you in organization, coaching you in identifying clues hidden within your records, and by assembling these clues into valuable evidence that translates into useful leads to help you navigate the 'brick walls' in your research.

Report Writing

Once your evidence is assembled and your conclusions are made, the only step left is to present your findings in a coherent manner. The best reports are written in such a way that a novice reader can pick up your research and understand your reasoning without having to repeat any of your research themselves. We can work alongside you to organize your findings and to present them in a way that meets the 'Genealogical Proof Standard;' the standard that governs genealogical research and that is considered the definitive authority on the subject.
